North Suburban Dog Bakery Donates Proceeds to Special Needs Dogs

Local dog treat bakery “Treat Diva” is giving 10% of all sales to a special fund, Hope’s Dream, to help disabled dogs. Owner of “Treat Diva,” Tricia Hansen knows first hand how to help pets in need. Tricia has four dogs of her own that she rescued from a local rescue group. Two of her dogs were abused and two of them are handicapped. One of her dogs even uses a cart to get around. Tricia says “She has no idea that she’s disabled. It is our dream to be able to help other pets like mine that would otherwise be euthanized or never adopted.”

Tricia is also putting together a cook book filled with recipes, special stories about pets and photos. All proceeds will go to “Hope’s Dream.” “Treat Diva” dog treats are homemade in Tricia’s kitchen. She uses all human grade ingredients. Some of the items include Coconut Banana and Carrot Muffins, Peanut Butter Biscotti with Carob, and bite sized treats called L’il Nibblers. The treats are perfect for pets in training and also great as gifts. “Treat Diva” also bakes custom doggie birthday cakes and other themed treats.”
